Now live: NotionApps can recalculate Notion formula and rollup properties from the recipe already defined in Notion.
This release adds visibility and choice to how those calculated fields move between Notion and NotionApps. Notion still owns the recipe. You do not type a formula in NotionApps. You choose whether NotionApps should evaluate that recipe, and you can see the result of that choice on Databases → Calculated properties.
Integrity means each calculated field has a clear source of truth: NotionApps’ evaluation of Notion’s recipe, or the value Notion already stored on the page. Transparency means the recipe, the status, the related fields, and the reason a field cannot be recalculated are all visible in the builder.

How this supports sync
Formulas and rollups are defined in Notion. Sync already brings those properties into the app. This release makes the relationship between the two systems easier to see and easier to steer:
- You can read the same recipe Notion defined, without editing it here.
- You can choose, per field, whether NotionApps evaluates that recipe or uses the value Notion stored.
- You can see when a field is waiting on related data, and when a recipe is not something we evaluate yet.
- End users still see one read-only number. The new controls live in the builder.
Evaluable fields start with Recalculate on. Turn a field off when you want the stored Notion value instead.
