Coming 23 August 2026, NotionApps ships the integrations makers have been waiting for — and a broader production window of login, identity, forms, and Automation improvements since the 9 August push.
This release brings:

- Email & password — NotionApps-hosted credentials login alongside Google / SSO

- Signup defaults — pre-fill Users metadata when people self-register
- Form HTML Block — sandboxed HTML + CSS blocks on forms (WYSIWYG + CSS editor)
- Automation onboarding — first-run orientation plus clearer Notify / Approval first wins
- Messaging builder — inspect and edit messaging objects without JSON-first contracts
- Auth polish — cleaner login chrome, clearer credential errors, steadier Okta / multi-method screens
Same Integrations experience you already know from Google Sign-In. Minimal setup. Guided fields. Flip it on → publish → it shows up in the live app.
Why this is a big deal
Makers have been asking for a cleaner path to:
- put support chat in the product without duct-taping scripts
- offer Sign in with Auth0 / Okta / email & password alongside Google — not a custom auth rebuild
- administer who can sign in (roles, identities, password reset) without leaving the builder
- drop branded HTML/CSS into forms without shipping a separate marketing site
- actually start Automation with Notify and Approval instead of staring at an empty workflow canvas
Until now, the chat + SSO connectors sat behind the gate. On 23 August, they ship as first-class NotionApps integrations — with identity, forms, and Automation onboarding riding along in the same production window.

What’s included on day one
Chat: Crisp & Intercom
- Add the integration in the builder
- Paste the provider ID (Crisp Website ID / Intercom App ID)
- Publish — the chat widget loads automatically in the end-user app
No scavenger hunt. No “remember to inject this snippet on every domain.”
SSO + credentials: Auth0, Okta, and Email & password
- Connect your Auth0 or Okta app with the credentials they require
- Guided callback / setup copy so you’re not guessing redirect URLs
- Enable Email & password when you want NotionApps-hosted credentials instead of (or next to) IdP buttons
- Enabling the integration wires Sign In for published apps — same mental model as Google
Perfect for client portals, internal tools, and partner hubs that already live in Auth0 or Okta — and for apps that just need a simple email/password gate.
Identity admin (Users → Identity)
- Open Users → Identity to manage app identities without needing Analytics access
- Configure a role catalog, optional dual-write to your Users database, and which profile columns show up
- Add User, review Origin (email/password vs IdP), and send password resets from the same place
Identity admin is for who can sign in and what role they hold. Screen visibility and list filters still use the Users DB properties you already configure.
Signup defaults
- When self-serve signup is on, makers can set default Users metadata applied as new rows are created
- Useful for stamping Role, Client, Team, or other profile fields at registration time
Form HTML Block
- Add an HTML Block on Create / Update forms
- Edit with a visual editor and a dedicated CSS panel (Apply to preview)
- Content is sandboxed (HTML + CSS — no maker JavaScript)
- Blocks size to their content so they sit cleanly in the form — no awkward inner scrollbar
Use it for callouts, consent copy, branded instructions, and inline help that shouldn’t live in a Notion property.
Automation & Messaging (since 9 Aug)
- First-run Automation orientation so makers learn the basics in-product
- Notify and Approval first-win paths to drive adoption from Home
- Messaging builder objects are inspectable and editable without starting from raw JSON
Login & reliability polish
- Desktop auth card no longer clips on short viewports
- Clearer errors when email/password credentials are wrong
- Steadier background when switching into Okta (and multi-method) login
- Hardening so certain form text saves don’t fail with InvalidText edge cases
