I’d like the ability to be able to copy a screen over to a different app. As we’re building client portals this would allow us to copy a screen over, change the client filter, and retain all functionality. Right now we have to manually recreate the screen across each client.
Hello,
Would it help if you were able to duplicate the app and the database along with it?
The main use case for me is just adding additional screens to an existing app vs duplicating the whole app. For more context we currently have 2 client portals live using NotionApps and they have different services so the screens are slightly different as they are one screen per service. Say client 1 has screens A and B and client 2 just has screen A. Now client 2 is adding service B and I want to be able to copy that screen B over to their existing app vs recreating it from scratch.
Are these 2 different databases or is it the same database?
Same databases just changing filters
You could create a similar screen in the second app and then copy-paste the components into it. Copy-pasting components between apps is allowed as long as the components are linked to the same database.
Thank you! I got this to work although it was a little clunky. I got this error “Paste failed. The column types are different. Please refresh the app, copy logic and try pasting again.” It wasn’t clear what that meant. I ended up refreshing both screens and kept getting the error. I left and came back and it worked. Any more detail on what causes that error?
I will get back to you on this soon.
