[In progress] New login methods: Email and password & Login via Google

Currently, we only support one login method for the built apps, which is an access code is sent to the email addresses of your app users. This feature will enable a new login methods for your apps,

  1. Login via Google
  2. Login in using email and password.

Is there a rough timeline for the release of this feature? Emailing a passcode is a viable solution for one-time users of an app or those who use it sparingly. But for folks who will be regularly logging in over the course of a year, email passcodes cause a lot of friction. We would be very excited to see the integration of a email/password login option!

Hello. The rough timeline is around 2 months (the most pessimistic estimate). However, even with the current experience, once a user logs in, they stay logged in for 1 month even when they log in using a passcode.

We are working on the overall stability of the system. Hence, this is supposed to be launched by the end of December.

The work on this feature is ongoing. We also plan to add Login via Google and Enterprise SSO login options.

There is active work ongoing in building this feature. In another 2-3 weeks, we will launch Login via Google and then Login via Email/Password.

We are still working on it, Gian. It is taking more time than we anticipated because we are also allowing you to login using your own branding via Google console.
