Login passcode email using custom domain

Hi team

I’m wondering on the email that sends user the passcode for login, at the moment is coming from @notionapps.com, can we set our own custom domain for this?

This would help to make the whole brand experience consistent.

Hello. It’s hard to send emails via your custom domain. It requires some amount of SMTP configuration. We are planning to introduce other login methods like email/password, Google SSO, etc to make this experience more seamless.

Since we can setup the user’s email in our user database (as a email field column), do you reckon we can just have it similar for the password (a “password” text field column)?

So that the user can just enter email + password and it will get checked against the database and enable the access from there?

I believe this should be the easiest and hopefully fastest way to implement and most of the members here can appreciate working with this until perhaps more login options are rolled out. If I’m not wrong, Google SSO login will also review the source of domain name upon authenticating the gmail login which defeats the purpose towards the whole consistent user brand experience

This is my preferred login way as well as this will be more “personalised” for users having their own password as well as avoid/prevent any problem relating to the passcode not being received in emai, and also is a direct solution to the email issue that I raised

Since the email via custom domain being not feastsible, I’d like to formally request to have the password login method made available asap as it affects my brand experience for my app, and I can’t launch at the current state/way
