Option or button to View Next Page

Hello NotionApps Team,

I have another request features that’s is really useful, the options (or button) to view the next notion page in a database…

I hope that this is possible and will be consider. :slight_smile:

This button (option) should view the next page (Test Two).

Currently I have a bunch of use-cases needed, and I put a suggestion/query here every time I needed it. :slight_smile:

We have been seeing this use case more and more. I will create a feature in our roadmap for the same.

This request is on the roadmap. Status: not started. It is next in the queue.

Vote on this thread to tell us whether we should re-prioritize it. We pay attention to the votes.

Problem

From a record, the only way to the next record is back to the list and another tap.

Who it is for

People working through a queue, a catalog, or a series of pages in order.

What happens today

The record screen shows one record. It has no Next and no Previous.

Requirement

On the record screen, the maker can turn on Next and Previous.

Next opens the following record in the same order as the list the person came from. Previous opens the one before it. The first record in that list has no Previous. The last has no Next. A record hidden by the list’s filter is skipped.

Out of scope

This does not reorder the database. It does not jump to a different database. It does not replace the list.

Success criteria

  • From the second record in a filtered list, Next opens the third and Previous opens the first, in that list’s order.
  • On the first visible record, Previous is unavailable. On the last, Next is unavailable.
  • A record excluded by the filter never appears as next or previous.
  • A record screen with the control turned off has no Next or Previous.
