I’m having a little problem with barcode scanning.
Using an Iphone 15 Pro, I don’t know which lens is chosen by default, but the focus is totally blurry (to close)
I have to move away to get focus, but then the barcode is too small.
After a few movements back and forth, the phone seems to switch to macro mode, and then I can get closer while keeping the focus.
Do you think it’s possible to force the macro mode when opening camera ?
(another thing, less important, the “wish to access your camera” popup returns each time the app is launched. Could we ensure that the app is permanently authorized?)
Hi, did you manage to find a solution to this. I am facing the same issue. When I try to scan it’s using the normal camera lens, when I move closer it goes blurry, but it doesn’t switch to macro lens.
If it helps, I noticed it has something to do with ambient light. In very bright environments, the phone instantly switches to the macro lens (which is the ultra wide angle). As soon as it gets dark, the phone stays on its main lens.
