My audience is asking for view counts on the product cards. Here’s the user story:
*As an author, I want to see the number of views on my product card, *
so that I can understand how much interest my product is generating and gauge its visibility with potential customers.

That’s a fair feature request. We do plan to solve this in the coming months using “Screen Actions” allowing you to increment the view count of a page when it’s opened. However, we don’t have a timeline for it just yet.
I can’t see the app. 
This request is on the roadmap. Status: not started. It is next in the queue.

An author wants to see how many times a product page was opened. Opening a record does not update that record.
Makers who need a view count, or any update that should happen because someone opened the record.
A button and a saved form can update data or start an automation. Opening the record does neither. The list can show a number, but nothing increases that number when the page is opened.
The maker can set what happens when someone opens a record.
That action can increase a number on the record by one, which is the view count. It can also start the same kind of automation a button can start.
The author can show the number on the product. Seeing the product on the list does not increase it. A record with no open action is left unchanged.
This does not count sessions or traffic for the whole app. It does not count a person who only sees the card on the list. It does not replace a measurement tag.
